I was invited to ETXEBERRIA a/w 2015/2016 "Poet in New York" Womenswear & Menswear collection. I fall in love with the collection and show itself. Even more ETXEBERRIA had the best music accompaniment this season.
For the FW2015 Season FTL MODA present sophisticated lines and the most luxurious materials, with a futuristic vision and some real genius touches. FTL MODA has maintained the center of its interest on Made in Italy since its debut, in 2006, but its horizon kept widening to include the most creative sources of fashion talent. In the past three years the platform has grown with the presence of international designers projected towards the future of fashion, answering its innate target of presenting the evolution and the escalation of high-end fashion. Prêt-à-porter evolves towards innovative and practical couture, colors and richness in textiles join the triumph in accessory research and sophisticated materials.
For its presentation on February 15 at The Salon, FTL MODA put together a group show that enhances the escalation of sensations on the catwalk beginning with Cape Town based designer Hendrik Vermeulen, who is deeply connected with Italy. Custom dyed double knit Italian wool, custom printed silks, and African antelope are just a few of the luxurious elements of the collection, entitled Smoke and Mirrors that will come to life on the runway under his new Prêt-à- Porter label, Simply Vermeulen.
The marvel continues with Rozalia Bot, from Romania, unafraid of returning to romance in a modern key, exploiting the most elaborated embroidery on sober and delicate lines.
A white surrealistic theme will be the backdrop for Landi Accessories’ presentation, an impactful way to bring the latest trends in Made in Italy leather on stage.
It is then the turn of genius Antonio Urzi’ who lights up the catwalk in the most futuristic key, from top quality leather apparel prepared by young designer Cathias Edeline, to his worldwide renowned costumes and accessories, that have been designed already for Maison Armani and Versace and worn by celebrities such as Beyonce’, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Britney Spears and many others.
His special effects will prepare the audience for an innovative, rule-breaking runway for the finale show: FTL MODA LOVING YOU, in collaboration with Fondazione Vertical – the most recognized Italian foundation supporting 4 research labs to find a cure for spinal cord injuries - and Models of Diversity in London - a 6 year old agency constantly engaged in training and preparing models from all over the world, to find their way through the most challenging talent selections rules. This final catwalk will be performed following the #MovingForward campaign launched on socials by FTL MODA and giving access to disabled models from Spain, Italy, UK, US, Romania, and Russia.
Model testimonials of the project are wonderful spokespersons Jack Eyers, just nominated Man of the Year for Men’s Health magazine, and beautiful top model Shaholly Ayers, wearing the mixed collection prepared by all designers part of FTL MODA main presentation and joined by top international maisons Gianni Tolentino, Luciano Barbera, Andrea Wild, Gattinoni and Antonio Grimaldi.

ETXEBERRIA
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2015
ETXEBERRIA said that his last collections were developed around the idea of the search for wide figures and volumes, with scarcely seams or pleats, and built trusting in the patterns and the dimension of the fabrics in order to solve the objects. Nevertheless, this research eventually moved him away from the classical tailoring, one of my most important models and primitive driving force of his work. For that reason, and willing to revise and coming back to these origins, the collection that designer presenting places the classical tailoring as the center and base of its development.
The volumes find their inspiration in the English tailoring from the 1920's, especially in the night and gala garments. The Neapolitan tailoring from the 1950's plays an important role regarding the silhouettes and lengths. Among the fabrics, fundamental in his work, he used wool and felt, combined with leather and fur as usually. The felts draw references to classical fabrics such as herringbone, pin-stripe, hound's-tooth and jacquard, and combine with each other by overlapping or simple cuts, in a search of mixes that puts them out of the common contexts. Shoes and boots revive the mixes of the garments as well.

Fashion designer Choonmoo Park was born in Kimje, a small town in the southern part of Korea, where her family owned a children’s apparel company. Subsequently, she launched her eponymous line, PARKCHOONMOO. Park has won numerous accolades including Presidential Awards. Most recently, Park was voted one of the most influential designers of 2010. She has the honor of serving as Chairman of NWS (New Wave in Seoul), a leading fashion association in Korea and is the new President elect of the FGI (Fashion Group International) on the Board of Directors in Seoul. Park has shown her collections in Korea, Japan and France, and has been invited to participate in other significant shows worldwide. In a time when many designers are cautious about expansion, Park confidently is moving forward to launch in the US. She participated in CONCEPT KOREA, a fashion presentation and installation sponsored by the Korean government with the CFDA at the NY Public Library during New York Fashion Week in 2010. Park showed her line in New York for the first time with PARKCHOONMOO FALL/WINTER 2010, and continuously showing her line afterwards. Choonmoo Park currently resides in Seoul, Korea and New York, NY.
